The Truong Rehabilitation Center is designed to provide you with advanced non-surgical pain relief by a team of physicians and allied health providers. Our “integrated treatment under one roof” approach enables us to better manage your physician treatments and professional therapies to promote rapid, effective recovery.

Anne N. Truong, M.D.

Anne N. Truong, M.D. is the sole founder and owner of Truong Rehabilitation Center. Dr. Truong has extensive experience in the non-operative management of musculoskeletal injuries using state-of-the-art techniques such as Trigger Point injections and Regenerative Therapies, ultra-sound-guided injections to joints and muscles, medical acupuncture and osteopathic manipulation. She has been doing regenerative cell therapy since 2006, also has taught numerous doctors all over the world on regenerative medicine. Her approach is to decrease pain and to restore strength and function without medications and/or surgery. Once pain reduction is achieved, she prescribes a personal wellness exercise program for patients. Drawing upon her many areas of experience and expertise, as well as the capabilities of her allied health staff, Dr. Truong is able to deliver individualized treatment for each patient.

Dr. Truong is Board Certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and Electrodiagnostic Medicine. She received her B.A. in Biology from the University of California, Berkley and her M.D. from the University of Nevada, School of Medicine. Dr. Truong completed her Internal Medicine Internship at the University of California, Irvine. She attended Baylor College of Medicine, one of the nation’s top residency programs for Pain Management and Rehabilitation. She currently serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor for Virginia Commonwealth University at the Medical College of Virginia.

She has been named to Top Doctors in 2012, 2013, and 2014 by Northern Virginia Magazine. She has served as the President of the Virginia Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Society since 2005. Dr. Truong resides with her husband and two children in the Fredericksburg area.

Christopher Johann, Physical Therapist

Chris brings a decade of experience to his work as a physical therapist at Truong Rehabilitation Center. He has extensive training in manual therapy and expertise in the differential evaluation and treatment of orthopedic and sports medical conditions. He is also experienced with post-surgical, complicated neuromuscular disorders. He has served as an instructor and mentor of physical therapy students.

Chris has given numerous community presentations and provided on-field support to the Fredericksburg Area Soccer Association and he has been an on-site treatment provider for the Richmond Dance Company.

“I really enjoy being part of an integrative medical approach in helping patients achieve optimum health and balance. Since joining Truong Rehabilitation, I have a greater appreciation for the mind, spirit and community, as well as the body, in influencing health, wellness and disease."

After graduating from Mary Washington College in 1996, Chris earned his Masters and Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine in Georgia. Chris enjoys traveling, being outdoors, hiking, biking and running, both for fun and in competitions. He also loves to spend time with his family, the newest “addition” being a Newfoundland puppy. They are actively training her to become a therapy dog and to become certified in water rescue.

Stephanie A. Sanderson, Physician Assistant

Stephanie A. Sanderson, MSPAS, PA-C, assists Dr. Truong with the evaluation and treatment of patients with a wide variety of musculoskeletal conditions, pain disorders, rheumatologic/arthritic disorders, neurological disorders (including stroke care and spinal cord injuries), and general medical conditions that require pain management and rehabilitation.

“I like working here because I help change lives on a daily basis. It is rewarding to provide treatments that relieve pain, restore function and renew hope. I work with a multi-disciplinary team that is committed to providing exceptional care to those who seek pain management and rehabilitation. Our practice is always evolving to keep up with changes in conventional medicine and strives to incorporate complementary and alternative medicine. I love working for a facility that blends both spectrums of medicine for the good of the patient.”

Stephanie earned a B.S. in Biology from George Mason University and a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Shenandoah University. At Shenandoah she was elected Vice President of the Physician Assistant Student Society. She and her husband live in Burke with their West Highland White Terrier “Maggie.”

William B. Ward, Chiropractor

William B. Ward, C.D., CCSP, is an award-winning chiropractor who serves on the staff of Truong Rehab and also pursues his own private practice.

“I really enjoy working in a multi-disciplinary setting and seeing our patients benefit from the variety of care that we offer, ranging from proven, conservative therapies to the latest non-surgical treatments.”

He received his Doctor of Chiropractic, Summa Cum Laude, from New York Chiropractic College. He also holds a B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Cum Laude, from the New York Institute of Technology. He is also a certified chiropractic sports physician.

Dr. Ward was named the Virginia Chiropractor of the Year in 2008 and 2009. He has also won The American Red Cross Distinguished Service Award, the Earnest G. Napolitano Award for effective communication and leadership within the chiropractic profession and numerous service awards. He has been an active volunteer with the American Red Cross, the Fredericksburg Regional Chamber of Commerce and the Stafford County DECA program.

Patricia Allen, EP-C, Medical Fitness Specialist

A Spotsylvania native, Patricia Allen serves Truong Rehab as the Certified Medical Fitness Specialist and Fitness Director for truong MedFit.

She earned Bachelor's of Science in Kinesiology with expertise in the fields of physical therapy, cardiopulmonary rehabilitation and sports performance training. She has gained extensive knowledge working with a wide variety of populations seeking individualized goals such as weight loss, general fitness and/or increased physical performance. In addition to her degree, she has earned a multitude of different certifications from a range of notable programs including:

In her free time she participates in marathons, triathlons, crossfit competitions, and is currently in pursuit of completing the Spartan Trifecta, a series of three obstacle courses progressing in overall difficulty. She and her husband live in the Triangle area.

Heather Johnson, Massage Therapist

An experienced massage therapist, Heather specializes in Medical Massages.

Amanda Rusk, Practice Manager

An Ohio native, Amanda has had over 10 years of office management experience in a medical setting.

Expertise includes overseeing administrative operations, supervising staff, medical records management, scheduling, marketing, data entry, reception, insurance claim processing, coding and transcription. Cross trained for front desk, call center, medical records, marketing, authorizations and surgery scheduling.

Julie Mooneyham, Massage Therapist

An experienced massage therapist, Julie specializes in Deep Tissue Therapy.

“Massage therapy is my passion, and I love working at Truong Rehab.”

A native of Caroline County, Julie currently lives in Fredericksburg. She has two adult children. Her favorite hobby is reading.
