What is Premature Ejaculation?

Premature ejaculation is when you have an orgasm before intercourse or less than a minute after you start. There is no set time when a man should ejaculate during sex, but if you ejaculate and lose your erection this soon, you and your partner may feel there’s not enough time to enjoy it.

It can be frustrating and even embarrassing, but it’s a common issue for men. Between 30% to 40% have it at some time in their life. So, keep in mind — it’s not something to worry about if it happens only occasionally. However, this will lead you to feel distressed and frustrated and tend to avoid sexual intimacy as a result. This can negatively affect your relationship.

Both psychological and biological factors can play a role in premature ejaculation. Although many men feel embarrassed talking about it, premature ejaculation is a common and treatable condition. You are not alone.

Causes of Premature Ejaculation

  • Sensitive glans of the penis (tip of the penis)

  • Abnormal hormone levels

  • Abnormal levels of brain chemicals called neurotransmitters

  • Inflammation and infection of the prostate or urethra

  • Relationship problems

  • Lack of confidence or poor body image

  • Concern over your sexual performance

  • Negative feelings about the idea of sex (sexual repression)

  • Inherited trait

Various factors can increase your risk of premature ejaculation, including:

  • Erectile dysfunction. Fear of losing your erection might cause you to consciously or unconsciously hurry through sexual encounters. ED can be treated.

  • Stress. Emotional or mental strain in any area of your life can play a role in premature ejaculation, limiting your ability to relax and focus during sexual encounters.

What is the New and Innovative Treatment for Premature Ejaculation?

Injections of Hyaluronic Acid filler like Versa or Juvederm ( the same substance injected into the face for filling volume for wrinkles) into the glans with Platelets Rich Plasma (PRP) can decreased sensation at the tip of the penis (glans), therefore, treating premature ejaculation.

We have seen this amazing transformation in many of our patients. This method treats the cause of the problem by decreasing sensation in the glans to prolong ejaculation time thus treating premature ejaculation. The creation of a barrier with Hyaluronic acid inhibits the sensation in the glans that promotes premature ejaculation. In the last decade, hyaluronic acid (HA) has been shown to possess many properties that suggest its value in several medical applications with 20 million treated with proven efficacy and safety.

Current Ineffective Treatments

The current treatment choice for premature ejaculation is medication. The main limitation of medications for premature ejaculation is recurrence after withdrawal of medication. Patients with primary premature ejaculation have penile hypersensitivity.

Another option is the surgical cutting of the nerve in the glans to decrease the sensitivity of the glans. Cutting the nerve is not a preferred treatment of premature ejaculation due to the uncertain pathology, invasiveness, and side effects, for example, numbness, pain, Peyronie’s disease, and even erectile dysfunction.

Do not waste your time and money on unproven and ineffective alternatives.

Treat Symptoms Not the Cause

Traditionally, it is common to use medication for a problem. But medication has side effects, it only treats the symptoms and not the cause, and can be expensive out of pocket cost. There is no spontaneity when you are in the mood. You can develop a tolerance for the medication. You don’t want to take medication for life.

How Long Does It Last?

This treatment can treat PE and can last for 1-5 years. You and your partner will be satisfied for years. You will need only one procedure that takes about 30 minutes to perform. Shock wave (acoustic sound wave) is performed to smooth out the hyaluronic acid filler. Immediate enlargement is seen after the procedure. Physical relations can resume after 3 days post-procedure. You may need a booster 1.5-2 years after the initial procedure.

There is never a perfect time to treat PE so you can start living your best sexual life.
