How Acupressure and Kegel Exercises Work Together

The pelvic floor muscles, specifically the bulbospongiosus and ischiocavernosus muscles, play a crucial role in maintaining an erection. These muscles wrap around the base of the penis, enhancing blood flow and preventing venous leakage by clamping down on the dorsal vein. This action helps to keep the blood in the penis, aiding in maintaining a firm erection.

Acupressure, an ancient Chinese practice, involves stimulating specific points on the body to promote healing and improve bodily functions. When combined with Kegel exercises, acupressure can target key areas that support sexual function and overall pelvic health.

Performing Kegel Exercises Correctly

Kegel exercises are a simple way to improve your pelvic floor health. To do them correctly, lie down on your back with your knees bent and feet flat on the floor. Imagine you are trying to stop your urine stream mid-flow. The muscles you use to do that are your pelvic floor muscles. Tighten those muscles for five seconds, then relax for five seconds. Be sure to keep your buttocks and leg muscles relaxed throughout the exercise.

This easy exercise can be done just about anywhere, making it a convenient way to strengthen your pelvic floor.

Integrating Acupressure Points for Enhanced Benefits

Acupressure and Kegel exercises

Kegel exercises can be even more beneficial when combined with acupressure on a few key points. Two helpful acupressure points are Kidney 3 and Conception Vessel (CV) 4 and 6. Kidney 3 can be found on the inner ankle, behind the bony bump. Conception Vessel points 4 and 6 are located about four fingers below your belly button.

While doing your Kegel exercises, gently press on these points. This will improve blood flow to the area and make the exercises more effective.

Combining Acupressure and Kegel Exercises

To perform these exercises, begin by lying comfortably on your back with your knees bent and feet flat on the floor. Place your right hand a few inches below your belly button, where you’ll find two acupressure points called CV 4 and CV 6. With your left hand, gently press on a point located about four finger-widths above your inner ankle bone, known as Kidney 3.

Now, focus on tightening your pelvic floor muscles as if you’re trying to stop yourself from urinating. Hold this contraction for five seconds while applying pressure to the acupressure points. Then, relax your muscles for another five seconds and breathe in deeply.

Repeat this sequence of clenching, holding, releasing, and breathing ten times. Do three sets of these ten repetitions, with short rest periods in between each set. The entire routine should take about a minute per set.

Expected Results and Benefits

There are several advantages to doing this simple one-minute routine every day. Most people will experience positive changes within four weeks, and some may see results even sooner, in just three weeks. These benefits include stronger erections, a return of regular morning erections, more control over ejaculation, and even stronger pelvic muscles, which can help prevent bladder problems down the line.

Final Thoughts

Taking just a minute each day for this exercise can be a game-changer. It combines the pluses of acupressure, Kegels, and good breathing to make erections stronger and improve your sex life overall. This isn’t just for men with erectile dysfunction (ED). It’s helpful for anyone who wants a stronger pelvic floor and better sexual function. Give this simple but powerful exercise a try and see the positive difference it can make.
