TREATING VAGINAL DRYNESS WITH THE O-SHOT

Hi!

I'm Dr. Anne Truong, MD

Dr. Anne Truong is a highly respected physician, best-selling author and internationally sought-after speaker on the topics of regenerative cell medicine, pain management, and applications for aesthetics and sexuality.

Vaginal dryness is a sexual dysfunction that may negatively affect your sex life. Potentially caused by factors like childbirth or medications, a lack of vaginal lubrication might make sex uncomfortable.

The Truong Rehabilitation Center offers the Orgasm Shot (O-Shot)—injected into the vaginal tissues—to address vaginal dryness. Your own blood,  Platelet-Rich Plasma is injected into the labia to help make blood vessels and tissues like collagen for better lubrication.

Talk with Dr. Truong today to determine if the PRP protocol is the solution for your sexual health. Contact us here to learn about vaginal dryness treatment with O Shot.

What is Vaginal Dryness?

Vaginal dryness occurs when the vaginal walls do not secrete enough moisture. Vaginal dryness can be caused by numerous factors, including:

  • surgically-removing ovaries
  • menopause
  • cancer treatments
  • childbirth
  • certain medications

One of the roles of the moisture is to keep the vagina lubricated during sex. Symptoms of vaginal dryness include:

  • low libido
  • vaginal itching
  • long-lasting urinary tract infections
  • pain during sex

What is the O-Shot?

Dr. Truong performs the O-Shot using Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP).

PRP is prepared from blood. After taking your blood sample, it is centrifuged (spun) in a machine to separate the platelets from the rest of the blood cells. PRP’s platelets release growth factors that may help to regenerate tissue and encourage blood vessel creation.
The O-Shot:

  • is non-surgical
  • leaves few to no scars
  • has a short recovery time
  • needs no general anesthesia
  • leaves little to no chance of infection or allergic reaction

Dr. Truong will meet with you to discuss your medical history and expectations for the protocol to determine if the O-shot is right for you. Your PRP will be prepared on the day of your appointment and injected the same day. Local anesthesia is offered.

Does the O-Shot Work for Vaginal Dryness?

The O-shot may help to:

  • better lubrication
  • natural increased lubrication for those women who can not take hormones
  • heighten sensitivity
  • raise arousal
  • better orgasms
  • tighten vagina tissues
  • a rejuvenated vagina look and feel

The procedure itself may take about 45 minutes. You may see effects of the after about 3-6 weeks. The effects might last for more than 12 months. Common side effects include swelling, bruising, and discomfort at the injection site.
