The blood inflow fills the corpus cavernosum, the smooth muscle of the penis. This makes it press against the Buck’s fascia. As a result, the veins sandwiched between the muscle and the fascia compress. This ensures that the blood remains within the penis, allowing for a firm erection.

However, with venous leakage, the veins don’t compress as they should. Consequently, blood flows back out, resulting in the loss of an erection.

Surprisingly, venous leakage accounts for about 70% of ED cases.

It’s often characterized by the ability to achieve an erection but then lose it shortly after, especially during penetration.


Treatment Options for Venous Leakage

Thankfully, venous leakage is treatable.
