Understanding Our Anatomy for Better Intimacy

An essential part of sex education is understanding our bodies. But surprisingly, many individuals are misinformed about their partner’s anatomy of the opposite sex.

The Clitoris

The clitoris is often misunderstood. It is an organ purely designed for a woman's pleasure. Contrary to popular belief, it isn't just a small nub but resembles a wishbone. This wishbone extends about four inches internally. With over 1200 nerve endings, it's a primary source of sexual pleasure for women.

Male Genitalia and Health

Men also struggle with understanding their own bodies. Beyond anatomy, age-related issues such as ED become concerns. Especially when ED is linked to medication. For instance, the use of beta-blockers like Metoprolol can have an effect on performance.

A significant aspect of male health is understanding the prostate. This organ, roughly the size of a walnut, enlarges with age. Its primary function is to produce fluid for ejaculation. However, factors like high levels of Dihydrotestosterone (DHT) can lead to complications such as hair loss and prostate irritation.


The Psychological Impacts of Pornography

Another essential part of sex education is the effect of porn. Contrary to popular belief, it's not the number of hours spent watching pornography that could lead to ED. Rather, it's how it impacts daily life and one's mindset.

In addition, watching pornography triggers dopamine release in the brain which decreases over time. This decrease involves more intense stimuli to achieve the same dopamine release.

Also, during real-life sexual activities, the brain may not receive the same dopamine levels. This could lead to challenges in arousal and erection.
